AN EPHRAIMITES ACCOUNT OF MISSIONIZING A JEW ON THE FLIGHT TO ISRAEL

B"H

David Altman represented the messianic/two-house organization Alliance of Redeemed Israel at the ephraimite congress at the Eshel HaShomron Hotel last year.  He writes a report of events of his travels to Israel.  Every person that a xian meets is an opportunity for missionizing.  They wouldn't call this missionizing but "planting a seed" which will at some point "bear fruit" that will be "harvested".  He gives three scenarios, and in each one he acts and speaks in a different way, specifically catered to what will work best with each individual.  At the end he gives his card for follow up.  It is interesting to me that the only one he actually mentions yeshu to, is the religious Jew.  Altman has a jewish father and a xian mother.  This is just one of thousands, if not more, "ephraimites" that want to be accepted as brothers into the hearts of Jews and the land of Israel.  Of course the xian makes sure to 1. Tell the Jew I don’t want to convert you (that way he will keep listening) and 2. Pour on the love.
 Here is just the part about the religious Jew;
( 3 )

An international airport in New York is a large place. Having a three hour layover, I had time to get from point A to B. But following my natural proclivities, I hurried to wait. Straight to the passport processing at EL AL I went. Focused on getting a new boarding pass, I hardy noticed the time alone. Being my first time out of the country, I was expecting questions over my passport, but I was surprised at the detail in which the processors delved. I produced a letter from the hotel where I was going to be staying and explained that it was a pro-Israel conference. Unbeknownst to me, one of my fellow passengers overheard me from the row beside me. He was intrigued and, after he was let through, he waited for me in order to inquire about this pro-Israel conference. He was clearly orthodox but modern. A young man with a clean-cut red goatee and plain business-like attire. Upon asking what type of pro-Israel conference, I informed him that it was a bit unique. It was a conference about mutual respect and brotherly unity. This confused him and my vague statements only seemed to make him more interested. I informed him of my lineage (having a Jewish father and a Southern Baptist mother). I clearly stated that I believed in Yeshua and that I believed that the last tribes in the nations were finding their identity and this convention was an effort to unify the Ephraim subset in support for our older brother. This piqued his confusion. He seemed a little shocked that I was Christian and asked a few pointed questions that were a bit defensive and seemingly resentful, even though I doubt it was intended. I quickly rerouted the conversation when it got to the point of "Why does Jesus have to die for my sins?" I responded with a statement that was not aimed at answering that very important question but rather clarifying my motivation and position. I told him that I don't want to espouse my position or covert him. I believe that Yeshua is my Savior and that the Torah are God's commands. I also believe that Judah has been faithfully and diligently following Torah for over 3 thousand years. I love Judah and have no interest in changing Judah. I respect Judah and hope that Judah will in kind respect me, Ephraim, with the same respect that does not demand change. I then stated that if he wanted to know about my belief because he was interested, I would be happy to share. Just as I hoped that he would faithfully share with me his belief if I was interested. I told him that mutual respect was imperative and did he want to know the answers to his questions because he was interested or because he felt he had to defend his faith. He didn't answer. He rerouted to a more personal topic and asked about me. It seemed he had become interested in the man in front of him and I answered the questions openly. I did the same in kind and it was clear that he was a good and thoughtful man. It appeared that he thought the same of me. The next two to two and a half hours passed like a jackrabbit and we found that we had a tremendous amount in common, including our devotion to God. Our particular beliefs did not interfere with each other and considering that he believed in the coming Messiah as much as I did. We didn't clash once in our understanding of Torah or the appropriate way in which to serve Yahweh through implementation of Torah. We parted a bit hastily and a few details spilled that he probably avoided at the beginning but was happy to share now. He said he was in the IDF for 2 years. I stopped his sentence and thanked him for his service. He was a bit taken aback and I am still unclear as to why. He asked why I thanked him. I told him that Israel needs to be protected and I am proud and thankful of anyone that does. He stood silent for a moment. We were in the tunnel at this point and he dropped a surprise as he put his hand on his shoulder as he accompanied me down the ramp. He told me he was going to marry an Israeli girl on Thursday and that was the reason why he was coming. He stopped short of the door to the plane and asked me if I would come to his wedding in Jerusalem. I was surprised to say the least. The openness and hospitality was just one of the many things I admire about Judah. In front of me stood a shining example of why I am right to love my brother. I told him how appreciative I was to be invited and that if I was able, I would love to attend. At this point we were holding up traffic and we assured one another we would try to find one another when we got off the plane. We were quite distant with regard to our seats and because of time I failed to give him my card. He went to the Israeli section and I to the foreign section and he must have picked up his bags before I was able to get to baggage claim. I never got to exchange information and I will regret that until the day I am blessed to meet my new found brother again. I prayed that he have a joyful wedding and that he finds fulfillment in his new and promising marriage.  I hope to see him again.

LOST TRIBES CON AKA TWO-HOUSE THEOLOGY

Two-House Theology (also called bney-yosef, bnai ephraim, hebrew roots, lost tribes)

as taught by a Hebrew Roots/Messianic leader Daniel Botkin

Agenda 1
Using the "lost tribes" con to get Jews to consider yeshu

We should be aware of the fact that Orthodox Jews do expect Mashiach (Messiah) to regather the twelve tribes. Perhaps it could be pointed out to them that the descendants of the tribes are indeed being regathered from among the Gentile nations as they come to Yeshua and into the Messianic Community. Centuries ago, when virtually all Gentile Christians just lived a typical Catholic or Protestant lifestyle, the suggestion would not have been so feasible. But now that so many Gentile Christians are embracing the Torah, honoring the true Sabbath, and celebrating the Biblical Feasts, the idea may not seem too far-fetched for Orthodox Jews to consider it. (Some already do believe it, by the way.) And if they are persuaded that many of these "Messianic Gentiles" are really descendants of the ten northern tribes and are awakening to their Israelite identity because of their faith in Yeshua of Nazareth, then they might also be persuaded to consider His Messianic claims more seriously than they did in the past, when they viewed Christianity as just another pagan religion. Two reasons that Orthodox Jews give to explain their refusal to consider the Messianic claims of Yeshua are: 1) He did not regather the tribes; and 2) He [allegedly] taught His followers to abandon the Torah. Both of these reasons are based on mistaken assumptions. The Two-House teaching presents a vision of Yeshua currently in the process of regathering the tribes and awakening them to their identity as Israelites. And as these "Messianic Gentiles" awaken, they also see that Yeshua did not teach against the Torah. On the contrary, He honored it, upheld it, and taught His disciples to obey it. As the Messianic Israel movement continues to grow, I believe that Jewish people will be more open to examining the Messianic claims of Yeshua.

Agenda 2
Getting xians to go along with the "lost tribes/two-house" theology

Christians need to be made to understand that they cannot be a partaker of the new covenant unless they are part of the house of Israel or the house of Judah. They may be of 100% Gentile ancestry, but they have to join themselves to one of the two houses in order to lay claim to any new covenant privilege or status. Even the true Gentile "companions" had to be in one of Ezekiel's two sticks. There was no third stick called "the stick for the Gentiles." The twelve gates of the New Jerusalem have the names of the twelve tribes written on them. There is no gate labeled "Gentiles." If Gentiles wish to enter the New Jerusalem, they will have to identify with one of the twelve tribes and pass through that tribe's gate. Once a Christian has been awakened to his spiritual identity as a full-fledged member of the house of Israel, it will be easier for him to relate to his Israelite heritage - Israel's Torah, Israel's Sabbath, Israel's history. Because the Christian is joined to Israel's Messiah, he is also joined to Israel. Israel's Torah, Israel's Sabbath, and Israel's history also become his Torah, his Sabbath, his history. He has not stolen these things from the Jews. He has inherited them as a jointheir by means of his adoption into the house of Israel through Israel's Messiah. Whether or not he has physical Israelite ancestry is unimportant on a personal level. The important thing is that God is reuniting the two houses, and he is a part of it, regardless of whether or not he understands (or even believes) the Two-House teaching.

EPHRAIMITES ARE XIANS WHO WANT OUR SOULS AND OUR LAND

The Second B’ney Yosef National Congress will take place just after Sukkot (Tabernacles), October 26-31 at the Eshel HaShomron Hotel in Ariel, Israel. Those who are familiar with this subject know that the First Congress in May 2015 resulted in the establishment of BYNA and in similar initiatives in Europe. Over 130 delegates from 12 nations gathered in Ariel, Israel, for the First B’ney Yosef (Sons of Joseph) National Congress. With that in mind, it should be understood that the Second Congress is not a BYNA event. It is more accurate to say that BYNA is a North American expression of the global Ephraimite awakening that inspired the B’ney Yosef Congress.
Jeremiah speaks of a Greater Exodus as both Houses of Israel return to the Promised Land under Messiah’s leadership. The process of restoring our Jewish brethren of the House of Judah has been in progress for over 150 years, and today over half of the world’s recognized Jewish population now lives in the Land. In recent years a growing awareness of the Jewishness of Yeshua of Nazareth has sparked a move to examine the Messianic claims of Yeshua and to open dialogue with Christian, Messianic Jewish, and Hebrew Roots believers. We watch with anticipation and hope that this will bring the spiritual renewal of our brethren as they look for Messiah and the full restoration of the nation.
This is what they call the "spiritual restoration" meaning Jews accepting yeshu
As Judah awakens, so also does the other half of the nation, known in Scripture as the House of Israel, Joseph, and Ephraim. The Torah Awakening of recent years among Christians has matured into an awakening to our identity as Israelites. This identity is firmly grounded in the covenantal promises of YHVH to our fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to the work of Messiah Yeshua in opening the way for the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel return (Genesis 12:1-3, 15:1-6, 26:1-5, 28:13-15; Matthew 15:24). Moreover, we know that the returning seed of Israel will bring multitudes with them from among the nations who will become full members of the nation (Isaiah 56:1-7; Ezekiel 37:1-28; Romans 11:11-32; Ephesians 2:11-22).
This is what they call the "physical restoration" meaning millions of xians making aliyah. Oh and don't forget they claim to be (spiritually) descended from the tribe of Ephraim/Menashe so those Jews living in that area, Yehudah and Shomron have to leave and go to the area of Judah.

"Orthodox" Jews collaborate, praise and even give an award to the founders of xian media outlet GLC

GLC, founded by Al and Tommy Cooper, sent out their end of year newsletter which shows very clearly they are an organization whose goal is to missionize Jews.

With phrases like "reaching the lost sheep of Israel" and "reach the lost with the good news of Yeshua" and "to the Jew first" I don't think there can be any doubt where these people stand on the "salvation of the Jews". What's even worse is the theology being pushed by the Coopers as they stated in a speech they gave at a ceremony in which they were honored by "Orthodox" Jews Ari Abramowitz and Sondra Oster Baras. The Coopers believe that the people of Israel, includes xians who are "grafted in" by their belief in yeshu. They believe this entitles them, and all those like them, to the inheritance promised to Avraham and his decendents i.e. the land of Israel.

MEET THE GROAT FAMILY, HAYOVEL VOLUNTEERS

Meet Hayovel volunteers, Ken, Brenda and Autumn Groat.  Autumn volunteered with Hayovel for the harvest 2013.  Ken volunteered for the pruning 2014 and the whole family arrived last month for the harvest with Hayovel.  The Groat Family created a board game called The Tribes of Israel to raise money for trip to Israel.

In an interview with a messianic blogger the Groat Family said,

We were inspired to make The Tribes of Israel game about 12 years ago after finding out we are part of Israel*.  We learned our identity by studying Scripture with another family the Father put into our lives.

According to their blog called Preparation for Restoration (see side bar for explanation on restoration)

"We are about preparing for the restoration of the Kingdom to Israel."

On the Groat Family blog, Autumn describes her time in Israel with Hayovel.  It is all disturbing but I will quote what I thought was the worst of it.

"Many times as we drove through Arab villages we would pray for them, that they would come to the knowledge of who Yeshua is and who Israel is."

"Anyway, the Jews know about our history because they have suffered from it. Because of this history it is hard for the Jews to trust Christians. They never know when the Crusade will happen. That is where the work of HaYovel comes in. We know that it was an action that caused the offense between Christians and Jews, so an action must be done to heal the breach. That is what we are doing, trying to heal the breach with love. It was really neat to actually see that happening. One wine maker said that he sees that we love HaShem (God). He saw that we don't worship idols and are just trying to serve HaShem just like they are. He said that we are brothers and that we can walk together. Restoration is happening right before our eyes!"

On 1 Kings 8:35,37-43
"They are several things I learned from this passage while in Israel. One was we are the foreigner. We are not Jews, but have heard what God has done. We came from far away (most of us from the US and Canada). So Solomon prayed that when we pray towards Jerusalem that God would hear us. Another point was brought up by Avraham Hermon (a man from Har Bracha that came and spoke to us a lot). He said that Solomon asked that God would answer the Jews prayer when there is famine, pestilence, locusts, and enemies. But when we pray Solomon asked the God would answer whatever we ask. "

"It was so encouraging to hear from a Jewish man that no one stands with Israel like HaYovel does. He said that HaYovel gives him hope for Israel. He called us the remnant of the remnant of the remnant."

"This year alone, our hands have touched 270,000 bottles of wine! The wine makers see us as a fulfillment of prophecy. They told us many times, “We want your DNA on our grapes!” "

"One day we were reading through the portion of Scripture where Abraham's servant goes to find a bride for Isaac. There is a great parallel here to our relationship with God. Abraham represents God, Isaac – the Messiah. Rebekah, who is to be Isaac's wife, represents us, who will be the bride of Christ. The servant is a representation of the Holy Spirit. So in order for Isaac to marry his bride, she had to be brought to the land of Canaan (what would be Israel). The servant asked Abraham what would happen if the women would not come. The answer was the wedding was off. It is the same for us. The Holy Spirit is sent to gather in Yeshua's bride. The wedding is set to be in Jerusalem. You can see the Spirit asking the Father, “What if she won't come?” The answer is the same, the wedding is off. I thought it was a neat parallel. It really shows that there is a reason why so many Christians are being drawn to the land of Israel. Today we are facing a battle of being detached from the Land. We can't do that, this is where the wedding will take place!"

HEBREW ROOTS TEACHER MIKE CLAYTON IS BRINGING A TOUR TO THE SHOMRON IN NOVEMBER

Mike Clayton is a "hebrew roots" teacher (formerly know as a messianic).  He served as a spiritual advisor and teacher to the Hayovel group while they were in Israel in 2012 and 2013. He believes, as do Hayovel volunteers and other so called xian zionists, that he is part of the people of Israel and that the land of Israel is his home and inheritance. He states this very clearly in the following video of him speaking to the Hayovel volunteers in 2013 in the Old City.

Mike Clayton is hosting an Israel tour in November. The tour will visit Har Bracha, probably to among other yishuvim.

There is a growing movement (a new xianity) that believes that xians and Jews must unite as one people in the land of Israel for yeshu to return.  Clayton is part of this movement. The first stage is what they call the physical restoration, the building up of Eretz Yisrael, the reconciliation of Jews and xians and the return of Jews and xians to Eretz Yisrael.  The second stage will be the acceptance of yeshu as messiah and G-d by Jews.  When this is accomplished, they believe, yeshu will return to rule from Jerusalem.

In keeping with this xian and Jew united as one theme, Hanoch Young will be the "Orthodox Jew" co-leading this group. Watch Young in this video speaking at a "messianic jewish" conference in Orlando Florida in Nov. 2013.  I believe it says it all.

From the tour website,

"Dr. DeWayne Coxon will facilitate the logistics of the tour. He has planned and guided tours in Israel since the early 1980s and has travelled to Israel over 150 times since his first visit to the Land in 1965. Dr. Coxon is the President of Blossoming Rose, which is also the curator of an archaeology dig. He is responsible for the development of Biblical Tamar Park.

According to the 990 form filed by Blossoming Rose for 2012, their mission is;

"Educating constituency and hundreds of volunteers about Jewish/Israel needs and projects including land maintanence and development, archaeological, restoration and other ministry and humanitarian projects as well as hands on projects."

"To teach and educate volunteers and friends of Israel about their christian heritage and about the need to participate on hands-on work projects in Israel including land development and maintenance, archaeology restoration and to provide other assistance."

Another part of the Tour,

EXPERIENCE LIFE IN THE LAND:
One of the unique things that tour participants will experience will be visiting several Jewish communities located in Judea and Samaria. An added bonus will be staying at Biblical Tamar Park, an ancient Jewish city south of the Dead Sea. Staying at Tamar Park will provide an opportunity to see how people from the times of Abraham, Moses, King David, and the Prophets lived in the desert.

Everyone who registers for this trip is invited to extend his or her tour experience and become a “Volunteer” at Tamar after the tour. This low cost experience is available for up to a maximum of 90 days. Long term volunteers pay only $20 a day for board and room and short term volunteers, who stay less than 30 days, pay $30 a day. Volunteers are needed in various work areas from horticulture to cooking, housekeeping, mechanical, and carpentry.

This is an another volunteer opportunity for xians to get a foot in the door of Israel.

Xian groups, including Hayovel, are creating non-agricultural volunteer opportunities in preparation for shmittah, otherwise they would be locked out of the land for a whole year which is unacceptable to them.

HAYOVEL AND THE ISRAEL ADVOCACY CONFERENCE IN NEW YORK

Aaron Murphy spoke at Ha'Ivri's Israel Advocacy Conference, as the representative of Hayovel. Here are a few things you should know about Murphy.

Before he removed his online footprint, as all people who are publicly associated with Hayovel do, Aaron Murphy had a facebook page in which he referred to himself as a "bond-servant of Yahshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ)" and in another place he listed his religion as "Hebrew Israelite".

According to the "new testament" xians are "grafted into the commonwealth of Israel". Some xians think this means spiritually but others like those of Hayovel believe that by worshipping yeshu, they become physically part of the people of Israel and are entitled to the inheritance promised to Avraham, i.e. the land of Israel.

Quotes from Hayovel volunteers,

The Brumlow Family
We are believer’s in Yahshua (Jesus) the Messiah, the Living Torah. We believe that Yahshua was YHWH incarnate. We believe that the Torah was given by YHWH as sep-apart instructions to keep his people set-apart. We are Sabbath keepers and are Torah observant and acknowledge that the more we walk in Torah, the more we understand the heart of our Abba YHWH. We practice the feasts and appointed times of Yahweh as we have been grafted in to His family and are a part of the house of Israel (Rom 11:17).

Stephanie Brumlow
I'm a redeemed daughter and humble servant to YHWH the Most High, an Israelite grafted in through the blood of Messiah keeping the commandments including the Sabbath and all the biblical feasts just as He did.

Barrett Warren

This is the most lenient position the Torah takes on going to war.  And it is only talking about the Nations outside of HaErets(the land).  So a strong argument can be made that the Palestinians, even though they are not Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites or Jebusites should be treated as if they are, because of the fact that they live in the land of our inheritance.

In this Hayovel promo video Murphy says the phrase "the restoration of all things" three times in less than one minute.

Tommy Waller writes on the Hayovel website about his Family Week 2013,
I think people left Family Week inspired to take on the challenge of submitting to authority. The fruit of that has the potential to produce healthy, productive individuals, families and communities equipped to take their part in the restoration of all things.

So what do Murphy, Hayovel and other so called "xian zionists" mean by "the restoration of all things". It is the process of setting up and preparing the 'kingdom of Israel" for yeshu's return and reign from Jerusalem. For a more detailed explanation on this idea see the page Restoration on this blog.

According to them, this restored kingdom of Israel will include xians but won't include Jews who don't believe in and worship yeshu.

A hebrew roots/messianic website sums it up well.
We believe that a great move of the Almighty YHVH Elohim is afoot on the earth today bringing about “the restoration of all things” before Messiah can return (Act 3:21). This involves the Jews coming to know Messiah Yeshua—the Living Torah—and Christians returning to YHVH's instructions in righteousness—the Written Torah, and all becoming one in Yeshua who was/is the Torah (Word) of YHVH made flesh.
